About Cymru Frenchie Rescue
We are a small, volunteer-run French Bulldog rescue serving Wales and the UK. From intake to forever home, we are dedicated to giving every Frenchie a second chance. We rehome, foster and support French Bulldogs in Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Caerphilly, Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, North Wales and beyond.
Our rescue process

Intake
A dog is surrendered, transferred from a pound or seized from a poor situation. We assess their health and temperament immediately.

Vet check
Every Frenchie sees a vet within days. We treat urgent needs, vaccinate, chip, and neuter where appropriate.
- 3
Foster placement
Dogs settle into a foster home in Wales while we get to know them properly — no kennels, ever.
- 4
Rehoming
Once ready, we carefully match each dog with an approved adopter for their forever home.

- Complete our adoption enquiry (via the Contact page).
- Home check with one of our Welsh volunteers.
- Meet & greet with your chosen dog and their foster carer.
- Trial period with full support from our team.
- Adoption confirmed — welcome to the Cymru Frenchie family.
Fostering
Fosterers are the beating heart of our rescue. You provide the sofa and the love; we cover all vet costs, food and equipment. Even a few weeks of fostering can transform a Frenchie's life.
